Our Story
​Adam and Anastasia’s story began on February 27th, 2018 at Hope College, when they were introduced by their mutual friend, Bailey Villanueva. Their journey as a couple truly began when Adam surprised Anastasia during a summer break in Maryland, marking the official start of their relationship and his love for blue crabs. From that moment, their college years were filled with late-night study sessions on the fourth floor of the Van Wylen Library, sharing sips of agave-flavored wine, and making memories with their friends.

Their love faced its first great test during a two-and-a-half-year period of long distance, as Adam graduated from Hope and moved east to begin his career with Plante Moran in Detroit. Meanwhile, Anastasia pursued her passion, starting Duke’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2021. Their devotion remained steadfast, and Adam soon followed her to North Carolina in 2022.

Once settled, they quickly expanded their little family by adopting two charming orange cats, Tod and Copper. On September 23, 2023, Adam proposed in the picturesque Duke Gardens, and the couple began planning their wedding, set to follow Anastasia’s graduation from Duke in May 2024.
